Game Director | Gameplay Programmer
Event Horizon was my sophomore year game. We were required to make the game in a custom engine, so we spent a bulk of the first semester on that. For me, this entailed getting a rough version of the games collision and physics working.
In the second semester, I was able to go back through and fine tune the physics to make the controls feel much more smooth. I also spent some time working on a black hole mechanic that would make the player orbit around a point, but this had to be cut due to time constraints.
